| We've made quite a splash in the industry over the past week with the launch of Vectorworks 2009. Starting with a press conference on Sept 12th and up until today, the press has been clamoring to write about how we're shaking up the industry with the introduction of a Parasolid®-based version. With the least-expensive Parasolid-based product and the first Parasolid-based product for the Macintosh A/E/C marketplace, our message about products that really work in 3D has reached a much wider audience. The press's excitement is matched by that of our own R&D staff. No longer are they trying to re-invent the wheel of geometry technology; instead, they can concentrate on how to bring this advanced technology into Vectorworks' normal, intuitive functioning. This is a huge change for us, and I'm really psyched. The way I see it: Siemens PLM Software and their staff of PhDs and scientists can worry about the geometry and we'll worry about your industry. This is a much-improved environment for getting the best tools into your hands. We also delivered on our promise of breakthrough technology every year with our first annual release. It's a big change internally, but will provide a much more predictable pattern for you to plan around with your design business. As you head back to work each year from your summer holidays, we'll have the latest advances in design technology ready to help you hit the ground running. Lastly, you'll start seeing our new logo on all our materials starting with this release. Nemetschek AG has been rolling out a new corporate identity based around the "genes" of the company. With more than $200 million dollars a year in sales and 10 operating divisions, the new logo shows the pluralism of our group and will bring a colorful update to our identity. |
