Nemetschek North America Donates to Habitat for Humanity
Nemetschek gives back to its community with a percentage of year-end sales
going to its local Habitat for Humanity chapter
Columbia, Maryland (January 11, 2005)— Nemetschek North America announced today that it has donated a percentage of the proceeds of an aggressive year-end sales promotion to Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity.
"As a premier developer of CAD software for architects and builders, we felt Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity was an ideal organization to which we could contribute," said Nemetschek North America Chief Executive Officer Richard Diehl. "By giving a portion of sales from our year-end offer to Chesapeake Habitat, we pledged to help the organization provide its members with the tools they need to build housing for those who are less fortunate. We’re not only helping build houses, we’re helping rebuild lives."

Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing developer that works in partnership with people in need to build simple, decent homes, selling them at no profit through no-interest loans. Thousands of volunteers work alongside future homeowners, who contribute 300 hours of "sweat equity." To date, Chesapeake Habitat has rehabilitated 89 homes in Northeast Baltimore City.
