VectorWorks International Artistic and Sketch Rendering Design Competition Deadline Extended

VectorWorks 11.5 Industry Series users invited to submit work created using innovative, non-photorealistic 2D and 3D artistic and sketch rendering technologies

Columbia, Maryland (April 25, 2005)— Nemetschek North America announced today that it is extending the deadline for accepting entries for the VectorWorks International Artistic and Sketch Rendering Design Competition. The deadline has been extended from May 1, 2005, until May 27, 2005, in response to requests to allow new users of VectorWorks version 11.5 the opportunity to enter the competition. All users now have an additional four weeks to submit drawings or renderings created using the innovative, non-photorealistic 2D and 3D artistic rendering capabilities found in RenderWorks and the new sketch rendering technology found in the latest 11.5 release of the VectorWorks Industry Series.

"We've received many requests from users, as well as our international distributors, to extend the contest deadline, and we're happy to oblige," said Dan Monaghan, Nemetschek North America's director of marketing. "We've been very impressed with the entries we've gotten so far. It's interesting to see how the right technology can make a great design look even better."

Users of VectorWorks ARCHITECT, VectorWorks LANDMARK, VectorWorks SPOTLIGHT, VectorWorks MECHANICAL, or RenderWorks can submit entries to six categories: building/architecture, landscape design, lighting/set design, mechanical design, general design, and educational design.

Winners will be chosen through public voting on the company's website. Category winners will receive a Hewlett Packard DesignJet 110 Plus Thermal Inkjet printer. The grand prize winner will receive an ENCAD T200+ plotter. In addition, all winners will receive free national publicity. Public voting begins June 10 and ends June 27, 2005. The grand prize winner will be announced June 30, 2005.
